A 2-Week break

As I take a 2-week sabatical out of work, I hope to explore the greater existence of a world that's not the USA. This sabatical involves going to foreign lands with different bacterias, which means, I can look forward to an upset stomach for a few days. Yay! As if my gastro-system isn't as delicate as it is!!! Lactose-intolerant! Blech!

In the meantime, I will miss tiVo: Bachelorette Finale and After The Final Rose (I hope Jerry loses), Gilmore Girls, The OC, Alias and of course, ALIAS nite's @ the apt. I will miss aim. My cell phone. My fast-connection internet.

In the meantime, go watch Million Dollar Baby. I didn't really like Hilary Swank previously, but she gives such an incredible performance with the ensemble of Eastwood and my eternal favorite, Morgan Freeman. Freeman moves me to the edge of tears....shout out to Shawshank Redemption. This movie is one of the movies that made me "feel alive" and it reminded me again that everyone dies, but not everyone lives. Go find your calling and live life in some way that makes it AMAZING. I'm gonna research for my own.

For the next two weeks, a big 'ol shout out to my Macushla's!! Miss me! =)

"Macushla" -- Irish term of endearment for darling or dearest. Learned it from Million Dollar Baby, bay-beh-bay-beh!!!!

Friendly Word to the Wise: Don't be in self-denial of something that you think might be wrong with your body. Go soon. Go fast. Get results. Get fixed.

I echo this friendly reminder due to recent happenings in my life that has prompted me to go to the doc and alas, jess isn't dying (sorry, peeps), but jess isn't invincible. Let's just say I have been instructed by my doc to take a vicodin (sp?) before I visit her next month for a lil outpatient treatment. Rest assure, I should be alive -- and if you're wondering, no - I'm not breeding any kids or diseases. haha.

But anyways, the WAIT for results sucks, the WAIT for treatment sucks, and the fact that life's problems are sometimes internal, SUCKS even more. In the meantime, your life isn't as complicated and tragic as it seems cuz, I'm pretty damn sure, there are people out there that have MUCH bigger problems than your own.

Take care of yourself in the meantime. Go to the gym. Don't eat too many BigMacs. And most importantly: don't look for a blessing, be a blessing.

RTB NATION 2005!!!
If you're not WITH US, you're AGAINST US!!!!

If you are a friend of Skess or Jess or Mell, and have spent time with us since Jan. 1, 2005, you will have already been priviledged to hear a certain ACCRONYM proclaimed from our mouths over and over again. That accronym is: RTB and many of you are curious to know, WHAT'S ALL THIS HOOPLA ABOUT. Well, today's entry does the dirrrrty work and deciphers it for one nite only.

What is RTB according to Skess and Jess' Dictionary of Insightful and Witty Accronyms:
Literal def: Risk Taking Behavior
Non-Literal def: removing our "tired and lazy" junk-in-the-trunks (whole lottttt of it, may I add) from the comfort of our own homes, on any evening of the week, to go and just do something "risk taking" instead of copin' out and stayin' home on our respective warm couches with our television and tv shows. We're obviously not getting any younger and if we want to make the most of these prime years...we can't be sittin our butts at home. Can't meet cool dudes from the living room, pal. It's all about making an extra effort to say, What the hell.. let's do it! Let's go out! Let's be spontaneous! Let's do it for RTB 2005!!!
What RTB Does Not Mean: RTB does not mean goin' out and being skank-hos, jumping outta airplanes, bullfighting, participating in the running of the bulls in Pamploma, or anything Fear Factor related - there are no eyeballs being eaten or bullball shakes to be drunkkkkkkk.

Now.....Are YOU crazy-in-love with RTB 2005? That's right! Get on the Train cuz this train is screamming, CHOOOOO CHOOOO!!! Chugga chugga chugga chugga...CHOOO CHOO! ALLL AAAABBOARD!!!

Current Status of RTB Nation 2005: it's goin' well, but where the hell are the cool-n-quality doodes?!?!
Upcoming RTB Event in the works: Memorial Day Vacation in Virginia. That's right... yellow girl Jess hopes to take over Virginia Beach by storm.

Small Epiphany that might solve the questions of my life ---
I came up with this one-liner that explains many many many things.

"Being a friend means you never risk getting kicked to the curb."

Translation: Why it's better to be a friend than someone's gf/bf *relative to your situation*

Rejection.....not a good place to be.
